Data Requests

If you would like to request data about NC State, please consider the following to ensure you are contacting the correct office:

If you are not an NC State employee requesting data in the course of your duties, please direct your request to the university’s public records officer
If you are an NC State employee requesting data in the course of your duties, and your are seeking data that includes unit-record (e.g. a list of students or employees) or transactional data, please direct your request to the appropriate business office

If you are an NC State employee requesting data in the course of your duties, and your are seeking summarized or aggregated university data, trend data, or data that spans across multiple data domains or business offices, please use this UDA Data Request Form

If you have identified a university data issue, please report them to UDA’s Data Governance Team. Data issues include:

Issues of compliance and conformance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, procedures, contracts, and architecture;
Data quality issues;
Questions of decision rights and authority;
Conflicts among policies, procedures, standards, business rules, architecture, and stakeholder interests; and
Other issues related to effective data management.
